Tailor-Made Aquatic Shade Solutions

Aquatic Shade Structures – Shade and Membrane Structures Australia (SMSA) has the expertise and experience in delivering effective solutions for aquatic applications that include shade cloth sails using HDPE shade cloth, waterproof tension membrane shade sails using, PVC, PVDF, PTFE or ETFE and steel covered areas. The superiority of our structures is largely due to the use of light diffusing fabrics and transparent membrane materials.

Our quality aquatic cover structures offer benefits that include:

  • Acoustic absorption for enhanced patron comfort.
  • Higher level protection against exposure to UV rays.
  • They regulate temperatures more effectively.(Cool breezes blow inside while keeping the sun and hot temperatures out).

Shadetech thanks to advanced tension membrane technology, our structures are easily installable with less installation time needed so that you can have your chosen fabric structure delivered and installed in a shorter period of time.

We also accommodate client requests that require shade cover structures to preserve the architectural legacy of existing buildings. The use of tension membrane materials in our pool cover applications meet the needs and challenges of various design shapes and styles with strong capabilities to transmit light, replicating the external environment.

A CONTEMPORARY CASCADING CANOPY

Shadetech canopy created for a pool design to provide shade from the sun and protection from the heat, without reducing light levels. Natural light diffuses through the white membrane, which reflects approximately 80% of the sun’s heat.

From an aesthetic point of view, the canopy is a triumph. The structure’s unique cascading shade follows the contours of the grandstand, adding contemporary architectural character without disrupting spectators’ view of the swimming pool. Fully compliant with Singapore’s building regulations, the project was completed on time and within budget.
